The Imara International Gala is just a week away, and I can’t wait for the big event! For the first time, I have gotten to be part of all that goes into getting this event planned (usually I am in Kenya).

Gala goers will get a taste of Africa from Kenya native Olive Jones at the Imara International Gala, “Faces of Imara: Moving Toward Our Future,” December 7 at Rush Creek Golf Club in Maple Grove, Minn. Supporters and friends of Imara International celebrated a successful first year of operations in Nanyuki, Kenya at the second annual gala fundraiser on December 8, 2013 at Rush Creek Golf Course in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The organization reported on the status of the girls and their babies, reported a healthy financial situation, and announced its first capital campaign.
